1. A consultation with Dr Scott is important. He will decide if this treatment is the right option for you. Consult is under Medicare.

2. Preparation- no sun exposure one week before day of treatment.  Remove all makeup and lotion.

3. Using a 533nm wavelength, the Varilight laser is emitted through a pen like handpiece. You may feel a slight stinging sensation during the treatment that quickly goes away once treatment is complete. Treatment takes about 20-30 mins. To achieve optimal results 3-5 treatments are recommended 4 weeks apart.

4. Skin may be slightly pink after treatment. Paw Paw cream can be applied during the healing process. Avoid sun exposure for a week after treatment.

It is up to the doctors discretion if it can be performed under Medicare, otherwise the cost is $50-$100 per treatment depending on treatment size. Can also target small leg spider veins.
